Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal data matters to us. This page explains in plain words what data we collect, why, who processes it and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This is an English translation. The Greek version prevails in case of any difference.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

This website (codewave010.gr) is owned and operated by Dimitris Karalis (trading as “CodeWave010”), based in Kalambaka, Trikala, Greece.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us through the website’s forms:

  • Project / contact form: the type of project you are interested in, your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message.
  • Free website review form: the address of your business website or social page, your name, email address, an optional note and your consent confirmation.

The forms include a hidden anti-spam field, which does not collect any data about you.

For visitor statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you and does not identify you. It only records anonymous, aggregated data (e.g. page views, country and device type, loading times).

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies or third-party content (fonts, maps, videos).

Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical details of each request (e.g. IP address, browser, page, time) to operate and secure the service.

3. Why we use it (Purpose & legal basis)

We use your details only to reply to your request, to get in touch with you, to carry out the free review you asked for and to discuss a possible collaboration.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for the free review form, your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). For technical logs and anonymous visitor statistics, our legitimate interest in running the website securely and improving it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use your data for marketing messages without separate consent.

4. Who has access (Recipients & third parties)

We do not sell or rent your data. To run the website we use the following providers (data processors):

  • Netlify, Inc. — website hosting and receipt of form submissions (Netlify Forms). The provider is based in the USA, so data may be transferred outside the EU with the safeguards required by the GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — anonymous visitor statistics (Web Analytics), without cookies and without identifying visitors. The provider is based in the USA, with the safeguards required by the GDPR.
  • Papaki — email service for our domain, through which we receive and answer messages.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your contact details for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case of a future collaboration. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — find out what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate details.
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restriction of, or objection to, processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

To exercise any right, email us at info@codewave010.gr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).

7. Cookies & local storage

This website does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device for tracking or advertising, which is why it shows no consent banner. Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) also work without cookies.

If you visited the previous version of the website, a small script automatically switches off the old Service Worker and deletes the cache it had stored in your browser.

8. Security

The website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and applies modern browser security policies (Content Security Policy, HSTS and others). We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update.

Note

CodeWave010 is in a pre-launch phase. Once the business officially launches, this Policy will be completed with full company details (VAT number, registered address, etc.).
